Tour 01 · Across Berlin
The Capital of the "Third Reich"
Private Tour – The Capital of the "Third Reich". Up to 7 key locations in one day.
Tour content
We visit up to seven authentic locations across the city, tracing the architecture, propaganda art, mass-event sites, and battle scars that still mark Berlin today. Hundreds of lesser-known sites lie scattered through the city — simply tell me your interests at the start of the tour and I will shape the route around them. Using historical photographs we can recreate the atmosphere of those brutal years among authentic decorations, exploring the uneasy correlation of ethics and aesthetics in history itself. The day can also include an optional dinner break in a restaurant dating from 1936.
How it is told
I work from original sources and the post-war academic publications. There is no reenactment, no music, and no theatrics. This is a serious tour about a state that organised mass murder from these streets.
Who it is for
Adults and students from roughly 14 upwards. The material is heavy. Please consider this when bringing children.
Stay in a historical building
If you would like the city’s 1930s history to continue into your accommodation, a short list of hotels in buildings from that era is available. View historical hotels →
